So earlier tonight The Accountant and I were meandering through the Valley (it was a quasi date-night), and I was inwardly cheering as I had managed to get him out of the house on a night The Block was on tele. Cheering because it’s easily his favourite show on TV.
And has been for years. I know, right? He didn’t fess up to that on his RSVP profile. Of course, I think the only reality TV show way back then was Survivor. And we both love that.
AND he has to watch every. single. episode.
And I cannot stand it. Ugh. Too many whiney, nasty and less-than-lovely contestants.
I do however, really really like Shaynna Blaze. Because sometimes she talks to me on twitter and she is lovely. And any celeb who talks to normal people (i.e. me) on twitter gets a big tick in my book.
So anyway, mid-inner-cheer we walk past this sign. I did have to have a second look, as I wasn’t too sure what I was looking at. No garish yellow and red logo to start with. So my suspicious marketing mind is wondering what’s up. Of course, I didn’t take a photo of the brand name and I can’t recall who it is. However a quick walk down McLachlan Street will tell you.
Maybe someone from The Block can advise.

I must fess up to being a fan of a couple of the Blocks, the last one especially as we knew one of the couples, Mike & Carlene, and they are lovely human beans. I’m not watching the current one though because I really dislike Dee and Darren; I don’t understand why people have this whole “love to hate” thing with people or characters on tv; if I don’t like someone I just avoid them. I don’t go out of my way to see them then bitch at length about what they’re up to and the nasty way they’re doing it.

I knew someone on a past season too, so watched it sporadically. I am sure I would like it far more if not for the nastiness that seems to shine through – whether real or contrived, it’s not necessary. Can’t believe you don’t like Survivor. Really?? 😉
I do admit to watching all the other seasons, but I passing on this one. Sadly it clashed with other shows on at the moment and I am only capable of recording so much. Good on you for getting him out of the house!
